Got a captain today!

And boy do I love it! Its definately one that will stand out in my collection, I was never sure if I would like the "tanto" rounded kind of point that it has but its really cool and i think Im going to find it very useful. all my other knives are pointy so I dont think one non pointed will hurt  Plus I got a pretty good deal on it, $70 shipped and it came with a leather sheath! :D
Its a good size too, Fits the hand like a glove and the blade/handle ratio is almost a perfect match. I also really like the way the blade looks, with the grinds and swedge in it. Its very appealing to the eye! Im looking forward to putting this one through the paces.
That is all :)

Very cool blade. Congrats :)

Carrying a Bug or Ladybug relieves the frustrations. It's worth carrying for the unique factor alone IMHO.

I got a captain that I OC (occasionally carry). I like the different shape,it's a very beefy knife. Although there are times where I miss it having a pointed tip.

On a side note I've been intrested at getting a wave knife and noticed that the captain has just enough bite in front of the spydie hole to wave deploy it you just have to switch the clip from down to up.

You got a great deal on that,I have not seen one for less than $140.00 anywhere.I bought one at the blade show last year and paid $100.00 and it is in new condition without the box.I love mine and you will enjoy yours.I wonder if the captain will gain collector status in years to come?

hmmm... horizontal sheath? that may be the one I got in trade that I then traded away. Great knife, I kinda regret getting rid of it, but I just didn't carry it enough to justify keeping it. :)

nice pixies :) I think this is one of those knives that will gain popularity as the years go by. Such a different design, but one that I think looks good!

Congrats buddy :D

Yup, it really is a great knife, and that sheath was VERY nice. I don't remember what I traded away to get it, but I traded it away for my Bob T slippie :)
As usual, I keep seeing threads on it and considering trading back into one. :D

Congratulations on the Spyderco Captain! It is quite a cool design, and I like the feel of the knife when handled. It's got good weight in the blade. Nice pictures, too!

I love mine. Used it last night for a few things, actually. The ability to push-cut, almost like a chisel, is really handy.

I love the captain. Ergos are perfect for me, and it's extremely smooth opening and closing. The blade shape is useful, and it's a fun one to show off. Everbody thinks it looks "cool".

Here's a pic of one of mine....
