How's the Hawkbill Ladybug doing?

#1

Post by RJNC »

So there was a alot of discussion about how the Ladybug Hawkbill would do. I know it sold well from the retailers I know, and I bought a bunch. Did it do well so far? Can we expect more Ladybug blade shapes?

Well, I hope it did well... with us it did. I scored 3 and one's a gift for the son-in-law. Great little knife, and I'd really like a Wharncliffe Ladybug - one PE and one SE... please? :o :)

- best wishes, Jazz.

I had one for less than a week and then someone talked me out of it. It was excellent and I will order another one soon.

A wharncliffe would be nice. So would the PE blade from the MicroDyad. That's a little scalpel of a blade.

I love my Ladybug Hawkbill. I have probably cut more things with it than anything but the kitchen knives since Christmas! I honed it a little with the ultra fine stones and it is now scary sharp. I really think this one should be a mainstay in the line-up.

Yeah, for me it's an instant EDC knife. Along with my Ladybug 2 sheepsfoot, and Baby Goddard version 2.

You can still find quite a few Sheepsfoot SE's around. They are impressive little cutters.

I'd love to see a wharnie in PE (like the cento4 blade but smaller). Maybe something in FFG even though it seems like it would be a difficult grind to do on such a small blade. No clue really.

I always toss mine in my pocket and my girlfriend laughs at the sight of it but she wants one now. She always sees me with larger knives and know that i EDC a Millie it's a heck of a contrast. I bought 2 but i'd like to buy more for gifts and what not. What better way to start a spydie addict than with a sprint run.

I always have it with me.....I cut up an apple with it everyday. I'd like it even better in H1.
Thanks

Hmmm. I just spent a fair bit of time looking at the usual sources and then some more and the comment earlier seems to be right. Looks like the retailers have sold them all out? There are a few on the big auction site, though. I'm surprised they sold out so quickly. It's a sort of esoteric blade.
