It's Mike's call.

The Compression lock, Ball bearing lock or Stop lock would all do the job.

Sure! I just love this idea. I thing, that Ball lock looks great on Yojimbo. Do you plan to produce Yojimbo again?
S90V blade, CF handle and Ball bearing lock? ;-)

Seems there is too little material between ball and edge of liner, the lock wouldn't be very strong this way.

The compression lock and CBBL are my two favorite locks. If the original Yo had any other lock I'd say yes, but the compression lock is very nice. If they re-released the Yo with a new clip and either lock I'd buy one. That's the only thing I didn't like about the original, was the large and flashy clip. Wire clip or black hourglass clip (D4/E4 style) would do it for me.

I would definately be down for one! I love how solid that ball lock is on my dodo. it has to be the most solid lock up I have on a spydie :)

Great layout designs!

Whats a stop lock? Never heard of this one before. Is it a new one spyderco is working on? I wouldn't mind the CBBL or the comp lock.

I think the ball channel is a little too high in the drawing. Also, the compression lock is fine by me and would require little to no retooling and R&D time.
...oh you know why!

A new run of Yojimbos would be great. The original Comp lock seems to work well. Maybe change the handle material to something less abrasive. I realize that this was designed primarily as a self defense knife and as such needs to be super-secure in the hand. However, I found it to be a perfect EDC type utility knife. So more "friendly" handle material would be OK with me.

My personal preference would be a Ball Bearing Lock with a cage to make the knife fully ambidextrous.

A Yojim-ball???

Stay safe,

MyKnife,

That's a really nice drawing! I just love seeing such well thought Yojimbo threads showing up, it keeps my hopes alive :)

+1 for the Yojim-ball!

The stop lock is a new lock Sal has had in developement for a while now. I've looked at the patent drawings but I still can't visualize how it works. Maybe we'll get to see one some day.

Yes, the P'kal has the caged ball lock he is referring to. :)
