Choosing an EDC Spydie for the day...

#1

Post by iwolf81 »

I make my daily EDC selection from this valet on my nightstand every morning. The pepper spray, Surefire E1L, and SAK Explorer with red Photo Microlight II are always carried. I then chose one Spydie for the day...

The Caly3 SE was my only EDC Spydie for a while, and then this forum turned me onto the D2 Para. I got spoiled by that knife because it opens and closes like it has ceramic ball bearings. The ATR SE came next; that is my workhorse knife that could do anything anywhere. The USN Endura arrived not too long ago and that was an unexpected hit; it has great balance and handling for a larger knife. The pink Endura 4 and black Para SE arrived this week. (I'm carrying the pink Endura this month for Breast Cancer Awareness. If the NFL can wear pink, then so could I.) Thus far, I prefer the balance of the lighter, waved USN Endura over the heavier, non-waved pink Endura. The Para SE opens and close a bit rougher than the D2 Para; I'm hoping that it improves with use.

I'm just not sure where to put my next EDC Spydie though...

Regards,
Ira

I just got an E1L Outdoorsman :D It's my first Surefire and I'm lovin it so far! I agree the waved E4 does feel better and more balanced than the blade heavy standard e4's. I need to pick me up a Pink Endura!

I love your flash...maybe cause I have the same one..even with that adaptor head..great light! I carry it everyday as well...suggestion. just carry all your spydercos at once....that's what I do...this way I know where they all are and it doesn't take up space in the house... :p Doc :D
