Good Deal?
A NIB Spyderco USN Endura for a G-10 Military S30V. Is that a fair trade?

So you're asking if trading a $120 knife for a $220 knife, is a fair deal? Guess it depends on the condition of the $220 knife, but assuming anything less than "well used", I'd rate it as pretty one sided.

*Potentially* $120...the G10 Military is much, much more common than the USN Endura and are commonly sold in the hundred dollar range (if not less). I'd say it's even, as he can flip the Endura for much more in a few years. The Deacon wrote:So you're asking if trading a $120 knife for a $220 knife, is a fair deal? Millie is the better end of that deal

Unless the Millitary is a dreaded combo-edge  , and beat up, the trade for the endura isn't worth it. For two enduras I [may] consider it.

Someone mentioned here that the price of that one was driven up by a handful of USN members all independently trying to "keep it in the family" and not realizing they were bidding against each other. Might happen again, might not. One example does not make a trend. I could, of course, be wrong, but with 600 of them out there, they're not all that rare.slyy wrote:Looking at spydieguys history a USN endura sold for over 200..There are some on the bay for 140 now but it is still easily worth more than the millie. Value aside, I prefer the millie.
Edited to add: BIN prices don't mean a thing either, unless someone pulls the trigger. There are plenty of overpriced knives listed that end without a bid. Highest one with bids on it is still under $110
