Got the idea from this thread
I basically followed the same process, started out with a couple more batteries as I wanted a lighter color, initially got a light green, didn't like it, resanded with 320 grit, tried 4 batteries and got this light blue. I have an original TI clip in the pic, and the black bolt is only temporary...
I'm a fan of stripping off the black paint. I like the subtle coloration that you got on yours. Whenever I get a Ti clipped knife, I may give anodizing a try as well.
Nice job! What kind of batteries and how many of them did you use? I think others used the 9volt battery for this process. You will like this threadto, I think.
Is the barrel bolt stainless steel or is it aluminium (or it's maybe titanium, too??)
Rusty blades are awful.
Girls with rusty hair are wonderful!!!
I used 9v also, 4 of them to get the lighter blue color, and I have read that thread a couple times, along with this to figure out colors and how many batteries I would need. As for the bolt, I have heard TI and Al, its non ferrous either way.
