Any chance we will ever see the Yojimbo again?

Do you guys think the Yojimbo will ever make an appearance again? Unfortunately I just started collecting so it looks like I missed this one unless I shell out a lot for one on ebay.

While we are at it what are the chances of seeing one in H1? :D

Doubtful without Janichs blessing. Hes got a similar style blade with blackhawk if you dont mind aus8, hollow grinds, and liner locks. Its 3.5 inch blade which helps make up for the silly name.

Wish we would see a sprint of this knife, but it is highly doubtful for the above reasons.

I have a "Bewharned" and love it. :)

Thanks for the perspective Mark.

That knife has given me more buyers dilemma than anything else thus far. I might just grab one in the near future as I missed the Yo boat by about 5 years, sigh.

The knife really grows on you. And the price is pretty good.

I still like the Yojimbo, and prefer the lock, but the same "mission" of the knife can be met with the newer Blackhawk version.

I had one for a while and really liked it but I just didn't end up carrying it much at all. Great handle ergos, useful blade shape, all that jazz, but it is a rather specialized model on the whole. So, in the end, it just didn't fit overall for me and thus it moved on. When you're looking over a collection to see what you want to move to make room for something else, the stuff you don't think fits goes first. I suspect the Yojimbo ended up in that camp for a lot of folks.

So while the knife does have an air of collectibility to it, I know they're fetching some crazy prices at auction, I just don't see it being something that will move in serious quantities to make another run worthwhile. I don't sense the support for the knife being that deep numbers-wise when it comes right down to it. If another run was done of, say, 600 pieces I think maybe 50% would get snapped up by the folks that always wanted one but never got it and the rest would languish. And part of that would stem from some the first 300 being turned around by folks who came to same conclusion I did about liking the knife but it not being the right one.

I'd rather see the Dialex Akimbo go into production and for once I'd favor hollow ground over FFG because I love the way it is implemented on this knife

I'm with you.

I'd buy ANY Dialex knife made by Spyderco in a heartbeat. His designs are awesome and the Adventura is prob my fave knife.

Looks like it is a compression lock. We can see the tab on the top closed one, and the stop pins are at the right place.

I'd rather see a Ronin than a Yojimbo myself, but that Akimbo looks pretty cool, even more in FFG. I would put the spyder hole closer to the handle, though. Still something I could buy.
