the best steel?

#1

Post by axis27 »

I know this isn't a knife question, but it still applies. I was looking at katana blades and I just wanted you guys opinions on what is the BEST steel, I shall spare no expense. I found onesite, saying 1050 tool steel is the best, but then there is a Swedish Powder Steel out there which is supposed to be the best of the best other than the read traditional Japanese steel. Let me know if you guys have heard anything. THanks.
