White micarta full size Goddard
White micarta full size Goddard
How come Spyderco never made a full size white micarta Wayne Goddard? The full size Goddards are the only big Spyderco knife I collect/carry. It would seem like it would be easy for them to make as they already had production set up for the black micarta one.

Assuming Spyderco felt it would sell, there's still the point that, as with any collaboration model, it could only be done if the designer approved. Personally, I think white looks better on smaller knives, but that's just me.

Is Wayne Goddard on these forums? Maybe he'd think a white micarta full size would be a good idea. It really is the perfect design to me. I strictly only collect small Spyderco's, but I've always made an exception for the full size Goddard. I bought my first FRN black one when I was a teenager and it just always seemed like the perfect full size Spyderco to me, so I never felt like I needed to carry another big Spyderco. And for some reason I never liked the Goddard Jr. But I love the Baby Goddard, so hey, no full size white micarta Goddard, I'll take a white micarta Baby Goddard.

I would love to see Goddard LW "4" models. I'd buy a full size and a junior tomorrow if they were available. Liners, screw construction, G10 scales, adjustable pivot, plain edge, tip up/tip down left/right clips, mmmmmm. :) I'd better stop. I'm getting all worked at the thought of wonderful :spyder: Goddard goodness. :D

Another option, especially if you want a PE C16, would be to acquire one of the FRN ones and have STR or one of the other folks who customize Spydercos rebuild it with G-10 or micarta in your choice of colors over ti liners.

Yeah, I'm going to do that eventually. Little spendy though. I keep hoping Sal might see one of my posts on one of the forums and take pity on me. :)The Deacon wrote:Another option, especially if you want a PE C16, would be to acquire one of the FRN ones and have STR or one of the other folks who customize Spydercos rebuild it with G-10 or micarta in your choice of colors over ti liners.
