More IWA...

#1

Post by jezabel »

I was just looking at more Spyderco pics from the IWA show here... http://www.crossbow-review.com/Slidesho ... index.html

Anyway I noticed something I've not seen before at the very front of the group on page 11... Cf scales, liner lock ( i think), hollow grind.... could this be the elusive Bradley M4 ????

Any body here recognise this??

I sure do remember that knife, but I am under the impression it's a concept model, meaning I cannot share pictures of it online. Unless Sal or someone else from the spydercrew chimes in to verify the status of this knife, I can't share more.

Do I see a new black FRN Stretch on page 5, in front of the CF one and behind the new RIL Sage?!

The handle reminds me of my d'Allara.....

Dennis

P.S.: The pic No.5 is in deed very interesting in more than one way.... the "not-the-Bradley" knife is shown there (does this knife really have a cheap kind on lanyard attached, and what is this thingie in the lower butt of the handle?) as well as Leafstorm, Sage II, G-10 Poliwog, H1 LBK etc.

"Bob Terzuola" is what came to my mind.

yeah the "hump" above the spyderhole looks a lot like a terzoula design. But I thought all his had that logo on the blade or handle? Maybe its on the backside

Yeah I saw that unknown CF knife too...

I think it might be the mysterious Terzuola slip-it we heard about quite a while back.

Also, Behind and to the right... that almost looks like a FRN Stretch, But with a "3-D" style handle ala the D'allara, and Native3. Looks to have a FRN backspacer

I found a better picture on the german 'Messerforum'. Look at the knife on top - is this the new Terzuola Slipjoint ?

There's a good bet these pics will be pulled down soon, since Wouter doesn't appear to have been "permitted" to post them, if he's got them.

However, any guess on the lanyard-esque thing on the end and the odd indent at the rear bottom of the handle?

Can happen Mike, but honestly, I would not see any sense in that, as if they are publicly available at other sources, for any correct or incorrect reason, it would be strange if Spyderco would pretend not to know anything about the particullar model/concept.
Well, the cat may be out earlier as planned.
Dont want any flames on that one, just expressing my thoughts.

As for the end of the handle, I can recognize a recessed place for the LH clip and some kind of 'strap' hanging out the pommel.

The thingy on the butt of the knife looks like a cut ziptie!! I don't know but "pitter" might have done something naughty.

These pictures are already on the net i've got them on my harddrive..So damage already done. If the Co. dont want pictures to be shown they should not bring proto's to IWA/ knife shows... just my 2c...

Looks like a terzuola slipjoint with a bit more edge as the urban. Nice :D

Edited; I just want to make a point that nowadays anybody can sneek in a little digicam to take pictures even if companies don't want them to be publiced...

I don't know if Pitter did the pictures. I don't know who did the pictures and put them on the net.

If I remember correctly, that model was in the regular show cases and already in production. The 'special' prototype case was not to be photographed, and also is not shwon here in these photo series. There's another video at youtube where Jurphaas describes this particular model (and other production, or ready for production models) to a journalist, so my guess is that it was overlooked during the photoshoot.

The indent is for the reversible clip.
