Modded Phoenix

#1

Post by Orlando De Free »

I just bought this modded Phoenix from Tricod and I'd like to share my enjoyment of his work with you. He replaced the Micarta scales with Carbon Fiber, added an orange peel texture to the Ti to protect it from scratching, and polished the Ball lock and adjacent surfaces to ensure silky smooth opening and closing without compromising the rock solid blade locking.
All edges of the handle were broken to aid the comfortable feel of the handle.

IMHO the knife feels and functions like a custom. enjoy the pics!

Very nice! I like it better than the original. Congrats!

If it's not inappropriate, can you give a ballpark figure on what that work went for?

Great job Brad. Certainly, it looks better than original. I love this texture on titanium.
I think that I starting to like CF. :o

That does look more... refined I guess is the word. I like it.
