I voted hawk. Way more versatility than a tanto

Well, there's your problem.

Hawks are amazing tools, especially in SE.

Nothing works better on those pesky clamshells or cardboard boxes (Ok, the dodo might be better...)

Oh, I'd reccomend it (I want a tasman too :p ).

It's one of those blade shapes you'll have to try to appreciate. (Though, I'll admit, it's not the best "all around" knife if you often do food prep or scraping, but if you do pull cuts-especially on zipties or fibrous materials-there is nothing better.)

If spyderco was making a tanto folder, it would be in my pocket.

Seeing as you have a new hawkbill this year (Superhawk) and you have a few in the line up... AND you don't have any tanto's...

I think the choice is clear...

Tanto... :D

Tanto.

My first Tanto was a Benchmade 722BT. Oh how I loved that knife and I still miss it. It even had G10 scales instead of Aluminum.

I want a Tanto. :)

I went the other way. I own several hawks, but only one tanto, and older Emerson CQC. But honestly, a FFG leaf is my favorite blade geometry, closely followed by the small reverse S of a Dodo.

Come on, Joe, the Dodo is WAY better for that. No "might be" about it. If you had to spec one job each knife excels at beyond any other, the Dodo would OWN that job.

My favorite use for a hawk is pruning. Tasman, Spyder or Harpy, they all do a great job (wonder how the P'kal would do???? Hmmm.... :D )
