Hello, I have been reading the posts for about a month and have learned alot!!! Thanks for all the great information posted here. I have been collecting knives for a long time mostly traditional slip-joints. I have had the large Wayne Goddard and the original Rookie for a long time but it was not until just recently that I have had a true appreciation for Spyderco. I always thought of Spyderco as good knives, but now see them as the best production knives PERIOD !!!! I have the opertunity to get an Endura and I was wondering Waved or not Waved? What do Y'all think? p.s. after I registered I noticed that there was another Knife Dude on the forum. SORRY I did not mean to use a name that was already being used!!

knifedude,
Welcome to the Spyderco Forums. We hope you enjoy your time here.

As for the other "Knife Dude", don't worry, he hasn't been active in 4 years. :D

Welcome to the Forums!

I prefer the Endura without the Emerson opener. Personally, I like the traditional looks of the Endura. If I want something to open when drawn from my pocket, I'll EDC my P'Kal.

Hey, welcome to the forums! Enjoy your stay here.

As for Endura choice, I like the waved version. When I carry mine, it always rides in my back right pocket and waves open extremely efficiently from that carry. Plus, if you don't want it to open with the wave, simply rotate the knife slightly in as you pull it out of your pocket instead of slightly out. But really, you can't go wrong with ANY Endura. If you have the funds, I would also highly recommend the G-10 version with the full flat ground blade.

Good luck with this tough choice and let us know what you end up with...awww, who are we kidding, just get both now. You're going to end up with both eventually anyway. :D
