Mr. Bojangles, our new adopted kitten!

We just picked this guy up today. His tentative name is Mr. Bojangles, AKA "Bo". He's quite the spunky and affectionate character.

Now the trick is getting him and our 11 year old adjusted!

And here's Midnight, the 11 year old baby panther!! He's such a jovial fella.

We're introducing them very slowly. I brought Midnight the scent of Bo on a towel and then rubbed Bo in Midnight's scent before we let them meet on opposite sides of a door. Midnight didn't hiss, but he was definitly sizing Bo up. We'll continue the gradual contact so that they don't get off to a bad start.

That's very very smart. A lot of people forget or don't know they need to do that with cats. We kept our newest cat in a seperate room for about 6 weeks with occasional opening of the door during the day and stuff. One of our cats adjusted quickly and one did not. I think it depends on the cat. Putting them together right off the bad would really be a bad start. :)

Congratulations on Bo. Cats are cool.

Cute cat! :D

One of my friends just got a new kitten, and he's tons of fun to play with. It makes me want a cat of my own.
