Spyderco FRN CRICKET (Please bring it back)

#1

Post by aj1985 »

Hey guys hope all is copacetic

Can we please bring this one back already for a Sprint Run. I had two and I gave one away to a Cousin who came from India and to a friend who is an armed Guard. They both aren't knife people and I really wanted to give them both something special and dear to me. I carried my FRN Cricket everyday and I enjoy the fact that now they carry them. They both love them and carry them daily at work.

So cmon guys I need some support here. 1200 piece sprint run please. Half in SE Half in PE and half in black and half in orange would be so cool. Overall SAL it doesn't matter what color just bring back the FRN Cricket please. If anyone can do this you can :)

Count me in for at least one PE of each color if they make them again.

Don't like the cricket period so I'm not up for it at all. :D

I'd much rather have a Dragonfly or Navigator II. Thanks. :)

I've used and abused my cricket mercilessly, and it keeps on ticking, so i would definitely buy a matching FRN model

Sounds good to me AJ :D

I don't have a Cricket (yet !) YEAH ! I know, what the **** am I doing. I really need one, and will be saving up for one as soon as I stop buying Kopas ;) :p

A FRN one to match the S/S one would certainly be carried more.

I have a PE stainless version. I like the idea of the cricket, but am left handed. I would be interested if there were a left handed model or the frn model was made a little more ambidextrous.

I like my etched SS Cricket, but I would prefer FRN. The PE reverse "S" blade is like having a single serration combo edge - tooth for opening clam packs, yet plain edge for sharpening pencils and the like. Still, I carry it infrequently due to the SS handle, opting instead for a Ladybug SE FRN.

For a knife this size, the actual weight difference is negligible. I just prefer the feel of FRN to stainless.

From all the different Cricket versions during the years I like the latest etched SS the most. Personally I've no need for a further FRN version.

An amazing knife. My go to blade for all clamshell packaging. I would not want to tackle Kid's Xmas gifts W/O it.

I just got a carbon fiber SE cricket the other day. My favorite right now for all office / packaging related chores. Id love to see it in a different texture CF - this one is somewhat glossy...
...actually, not the place for it, but Id love to see a cricket style SE hawkbilled blade on a lava body / blade angle...
