The Dead Cow and Vet School

First-year students at Texas A&M's Vet school were receiving their first
anatomy class, with a real dead cow. They all gathered around the surgery
table with the body covered with a white sheet. The professor started the
class by telling them, 'In Veterinary Medicine it is necessary to have two
important qualities as a doctor: The first is that you not be disgusted by
anything involving the animal body.' For an example, the Professor pulled
back the sheet, stuck his finger in the butt of the dead cow, withdrew it
and stuck his finger in his mouth. 'Go ahead and do the same thing,' he told
his students. The students freaked out, hesitated for several minutes, but
eventually took turns sticking a finger in the anal opening of the dead cow
and sucking on it. When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them
and said, 'The second most important quality is observation. I stuck in my
middle finger and sucked on my index finger. Now learn to pay attention.
Life's tough, it's even tougher if you're stupid.'.......Doc :D

That's ok, we won't judge you...

Doc, I went to Texas Tech, and I've heard my fair share of Aggie jokes and while that was one of the least deragatory ones I've heard(or told), it still ellicited a solid chuckle....

Beautiful, poignant and moving story... :D :D :D
"Now learn to pay attention."

Truer words were never spoken! I have been drilling into my daughter's head to pay attention to what she's doing since she was 3. At almost 10, I think it's paying off - she no longer has the dubious title "Spill Queen."

Thanks for the giggle Doc!
I prefer to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

Hi Doc, thanks for the smile. :)
I knew a slightly modified version, with the doctor telling the students that the urine of people with diabetes is sweet. And when one of the students asked "how do you know?"... well, here comes the finger part ;)
The mind commands the body and it obeys. The mind orders itself and meets resistance.

Great one Doc!

When I took Anatomy and Physiology in school, our professor did the same thing to us w/ a beeker of urine. It was really just colored water, but it looked just like pee. Everyone went "eeeeewwwww" at the same time.
