New Colours

#1

Post by telemeister »

Hi all,

I have a few coloured knives, and I find that I gravitate towards using them more than the black ones (particularly the G-10 handles). I just did a quick search of the :spyder: site, and found that the vast majority of G-10 handles were black. I, for one, would like to see a few more G-10 handles in colours other than black. What are your opinions/thoughts?

It would be fun to see a multicolored knife. Like, all colors mixed together. But that might not be feasible.
Anyway,

MOAR CULORS!
Dem tings be mine:
PE blue Yojimbo ~ PE blue Dodo ~ ZDP PE Delica ~ s30v Native ~ Military ~ Aus Dragonfly ~ Endura4 ~ Yellow Salt 1 ~ Yellow Pacific Salt ~ 3 byrds and a lot of Cold Steel, Benchmade, Glock, Mora, KA-BAR, Kanetsune, SOG, CRKT, Schrade and misc. crap.

I'm one of the rare exceptions on this forum to the color-mongering. :p

I like my handles black, whether it be FRN or G-10. It just looks better to me.

The one color that I would maybe like to see would be navy blue. There was a prototype Rescue at the 2007 A'dam meet that was Navy blue, but it never got released. :(

I'd like to see more colors as well. I certainly look for knives with colors since they're different than the traditional black.

I don't think one color should try to replace black, which almost seems like what is trying to happen with foliage green

That means you don't like colours.Black is not a colour but a shade.Maybe you have black and white vision, and don't know it...........I love colours.Especially rich vibrant ones, like royal purple, or cobalt blue.

I've been drawn to bright colours in the past, but recently I've been wanting something in a "denim" blue colour.

I don't think black/stainless steel handles will ever be replaced as "the norm", but pinks/blues/oranges/greens are a good change.

i too love spyderco's colors... i'm usually willing to consider anything that steps outside the usual "black" template. i think spyderco's made some really great choices... blue jean blue on the waved E4s and D4s, an interesting and "different" shade of pink, british racing green, foliage green... i really dig the orange in the UKPKs as well (still saving up to get one...).

my favorite of all -- probably marine yellow. :D

a white E4 and possibly D4 is in my future, as well... :D

Viva colors! keep them coming!

i'd LOVE to see something in turquoise FRN...

The Orange UKPK is an excellent knife, pretty similar to the Caly 3 (I think, anyway!). I have noticed in some photos that it looks like a really bright Orange - its not, its just a very cool colour - particularly in the G10. I have the Orange Rescue and Assist, and the orange looks much better in the UKPK, than it does with the FRN handles.
Top :spyder:s : Caly 3, Stretch, Millie, Manix 2, Police, Kopa, Polliwog, Meerkat, Chinook III, and SuperHawk.

I would love if Caly3 will be made in orange and green (like Lil T) G10. :p
Lucky Brits, they have their knives in multiple colors. :(

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian
