Spyderco Around The World Passaround

#1

Post by Th232 »

There's been an around the world passaround happening on BF, and the knife's now down in Sydney.

My pics aren't that great, but here they are:

A shot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge

One of the Opera House

Another of the Opera House

Part of the city

Luna Park (personally, it's looking a bit down because it wasn't tall enough to go on the rides)

Another bridge shot

More to come tomorrow.

Nice pics Will.

I have a feeling I might be next in line on that pass around. You picked some great places for the back drop.

Cheers

Indeed you are, got your address sitting here in my email.

Next up: St Mary's Cathedral (assuming no nkp interference), and the Botanic Gardens.

Surprisingly, not so far. With the exception of the Luna Park shot, all of them were in areas with rather few people who could see what I was doing. The one with the fishing rods in view, well, they were fishing.

The cathedral though, that one's inner city, so we'll see what happens.

And more:

Day two was done in the city, although due to some issues with knife locations, the knife is very small in some pics.

One of the Supreme Court buildings (this might have just been me being a smartarse):
Image

There was some security at St Mary's Cathedral, so I didn't manage too many shots. Spyder is on the right bench, in the middle:
Image

And another:
Image

Clouds came in, unfortunately the only other shot I took of Centrepoint Tower was even worse:
Image

I can't for the life of me remember what this building's called :o :
Image

A fountain at the Botanic Gardens (stupid me forgot to take a shot from the front). The Spyder is actually that black and white thing in the middle of the fountain rim:
Image

This was taken from a spot in the Botanic Gardens:
Image

City skyline from just a bit south the previous location:
Image

One of the ponds in the Gardens, and some of the city behind it:

Where the previous two pictures were taken from:
Image

Close up of the Opera House:
Image

And another:
Image

This photo is of Government House. Got there just after it closed to the public, so that was as close as I could get. Next to the gate is a guardhouse with a police officer in it. Now, what kind of idiot would take out a knife and take photos of it and Gvt House, knowing full well there's a policeman a couple of metres away? Well... actually, me... :o

Very true. What isn't seen is the fact that there's another 4 or so metres of pavement, that railing just divides two levels of pavement. :D

Now, the latest photos... err... no railing.

Great pics Will.

The spots chosen really show off Sydney to our fellow Spydie collectors. I love the one in front of the Supreme Court, it appeals to my sense of humour :D .
