I see nothing wrong with it. Not even the price. John F. Jensen still has a few and he's charging over $100 for his. I think around $100 for an Aluminum Herbst is a good deal.
Plus........the guy has 100% positive feedback.

Hmmm, I'm not new and maybe should be catching something, but the aluminum Herbst was originally offered with ATS-55 prior to the VG-10 version (I don't remember whether it had a lanyard hole, but it looks right).
I'm too lazy to go upstairs to look at mine, so I guess I'll just wait for the right answer. :D It does look like he copied the old Spyderco writeup word for word, but then ...
Nice knife though ... very under-appreciated when it was in production. $100 might not be such a bad price these days for a mint collector version of the Herbst.

is that how they stamped the older CC#s looks way different and how is a PE a V as a CC#? (non TI)
did they all have lock inlays (odd screw)or full lock scale thingys
these things just strike me as odd. i have never handled nor seen one so i may be way off base

The bidding history is a bit od.
One guy seems to push up the price.

The aluminum version is the variation of the original in Ti, so the pe and se in aluminum are marked "V".butch wrote:is that how they stamped the older CC#s looks way different and how is a PE a V as a CC#? (non TI)

And that guy pushing it up has no feedback whatsoever. Looks like someone might be getting greedy?Piet.S wrote:The bidding history is a bit od.
