A New slant on dumbest thing ever done with a Spyderco.

So,

I got my PE Salsa (black handled) out of the cupboard to harvest a few things from the garden. I finally got Habanero Peppers to grow this year and after picking a couple that had turned bright yellow I decided to mix them up with some peaches to make salsa.

The Spydie made short work out of seeding and chooping the Habaneros, I was bent over the cutting board really getting into my work when...I took a big sniff (involutary I swear) of the newly finely chopped peppers.

I dropped as if tasered.

After flailing and coughing and weeping and trying to avoid rubbing my eyes...I crawled to the bathtub and flushed my system under running water.

The Spyderco Salsa came through it fine, the peach salsa was mighty tasty. It is a good thing that some Spydercos are forgiving of not too bright owners.

Anybody else got a "I had my Spyderco with me at the time..." smooth move story?

Yep, them's habaneros alright. Great for the taste buds but miserable for any other nerve ending in the human body.

I went ouit to sight in a 22 Magnum rifle but I forgot my target. I found a small sheet of paper in the truck and used my Spyderco to stick it to a fence post. I don't even need to tell you where the first shot hit. Goodby Spyderco.

Well, here is one I watched.

Back in college I was sharpening my SE Delica. My roommate walks in and asks to see the knife. This is a guy that likes knives, but has never owned anything nicer then an CRKT M16 (great knife, just cant hold an edge). Anyways, he asks to see my Delica. So I hand it to him. I say "Be careful its sharp"
He gives me the "No S***" and takes the blade and runs it at a 90 degree across the back of his hand. Needless to say it made a nice, deep, and 2 inch long cut.

Well so lets just say my roommate never played with my knives again.

2 weeks and 7 stitches later he picked himself up a Native.

He still has a scar. That was 3 years ago.

Oh he still has me sharpen his knives.

The Habaneros were not that hot to taste...but huffing the newly released oil off of them...man-o-manoshevitz!

Peppers- 2 seeded
Peaches- 4, peeled
Onion-Just a slice
Lime Juice- About a tablespoon
Salt- To taste.

And yes, I was gonna take pics of the Spydie Salsa after harvesting in the garden. Maybe later today.

well i have one, maybe even someone remembers it about a year and a half ago i went with some friends to the beach for the night, i had my blackhawk in my pocket, we set for a few hours, then i saw a black truck coming in our way, don't ask me why but after a few beers i thought it was a police car or some kind of privet security service, i wasn't eighteen yet so i didn't what to get in trouble ( which is really easy with our knife laws ) even dough i wasn't doing anything wrong with the knife, SO... i threw it in the sand behind me, to cut it short, they only needed to borrow our car battery cables, and i found the blackhawk only in the morning when we ware living, under my tent  :D
