Don't really do it, unless its a peel off one.

Hey now, Sal... pretty good advertising gimmick, peel-off SpydieBug tatts.

Me like, me like!

Of course, I do have a spider tattoo, but not there. It's not the Spydie logo, but it still works, right?

I like the temp-tattoo (peel-off) idea, Chinook. Would be a great marketing technique.

Cool one, Chinook!

A Spydie Bug peel-off tattoo would be awesome.

*ahem*

SO.....Kahz,

*giving a suspicious look, as always*

Since you brought it up, care to share *where* you have this spider tattoo of yours??

Forget about the young people Kahz, they can cope with the excitement. There are also a lot of us old people who are a lot more fragile .

Never...

...dream on...

So, Clay, are you an "Ancient One"? I call my dad that, then he puts his "wisest" look, ready to answer all my questions. Like Toshiro Mifune when he was Shogun, that serious no-nonsense look.

Thanks for sharing, Kahz.

Personally, I don't have any tattoos and the only thing pierced is my left earlobe. Speaking of, Spydie bug jewelry might work well. Or how about one of those lapel pins that you put on your shirt collar or jacket?

*lightbulb lights up over head*

Hey, isn't the new Spiderman movie due out in May 2002? Is there a possibility of a Spyderco tie-in with the movie? Ooooh, the possibilities....

I think the Spydie people should call the "other" Spidie people so that their people and our people could do lunch! What do ya think?

Now that would be great exposure!!

Kahz,

I'm glad that you show your father the respect he deserves. My kids just talk about trading me in for a later model .

Clay,

My parents are the best thing since sliced bread. They are my best friends and the only nuclear family I have (besides my husband nowadays), so they are my treasure. Of course, they can be real pains at times but, aren't we all?

Oh, and my dad is the reason why I love weapons and knives so much, so I have that to thank him for the rest of my life, among many other things.

Lsaulog, e-mail. I am with you when you talk about Spydie jewelry, I would love to see a Spydie pendant in sterling silver...

My boys are still too small to trade me in! But, my 3 yr old has started to pickup my bad habits when I was young.

I have learned to appreciate the beauty and art of knives and weapons while growing up. As a father, I will share this with my boys as they get older. For right now, they're content with holding the fish while I remove the hooks!

Parents are a wealth of knowledge and love. I just wish there was more emphasis on family values on TV versus sex & violence. I'm happy taking my boys fishing after watching the fishing experts on TNN! Wish I could say the same for some of my neighbors...

Mail-call, Kahz...I would love a Spydie ring or 14KT gold lapel pin. Heck, I'd be happy with a sticker for my car! Gotta love 'dem Spydies!

LOL, Chinook! Hey, you got that second one from a National Geographic book about the Solar System, didn't you? I loved that book when I was younger, read it back and forth!

So, I guess I will pick the second guy, he looks sexier, too.

Lsaulog,

I'm with you 100%. I don't fish (sorry Chinook) but I want my kids to share my love of the outdoors. My eldest daughter started abseiling when she was eight and both my daughters are competent skiers. My son has already been bushwalking and he's only 6 months old.

My girls really like my Spydies and get just as excited as I do when a parcel arrives. However there's always a lot of discussion about who's going to inherit what, which does make me feel older than I really am . I gave my eldest girl her first knife for her eighth birthday.
