Cell Phone Suggestions

#1

Post by Jonny8642 »

To make a long story short. My cell phone fell out of pocket while driving today. When I went to get out of the car I shut the door on my cell phone breaking the top half of the screen and the little one on the outside. and since my dumb@$$ didn't buy the insurance on the stupid thing  , so I am S.O.L. Now I am trying to turn a bad thing into a good thing I need suggestions on a new phone. I've been thinking about switching over to a smart phone, looking heavily at a blackberry, or just getting another LG. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Depending upon your budget, you may want to consider the new iPhone.

Sony Ericsson M600i; it's a mobile office (Quickoffice, Internet, E-mail), phone, Ipod and (with the right software) a video Ipod as well. I love the controls, which on all SE Phones seem to be in just the right place. I love my new M600.

I'd check out these two sites, they have great reviews, and I'm partial to Nokia depending on what you need, carrier etc.

Gone through an older audiovox, and on my 2nd motorola.

next phone will be a Motorola Motofone F3. 500min talk time, 300hr standby, display thats as easy to read indoors and out... linux based vs java based (4million devices and counting that run on java). Just waiting for my local stores to get em in and I'm switching over.

After breaking a couple Samsungs (they are neat but waay too fragile), I still think Nokia is the best. I am currently using an LG L600V (which fits my needs more than enough) but if I'll get another phone it will probably be a Nokia.

My wife and I just upgraded ours. We had the Motorola 420's which have actually served us very well. Her battery started to die, and it was actually cheaper to upgrade than buy a new battery :) I got the Razr V3 and she got the 360T. I forgot about the SIM card technology that Roger's uses - pretty slick - swapped out the cards and away we went. Only had them a couple of weeks, so it's still a bit early. Noticed a few things on the RAZR already - better voice, much nicer display, LOVE the customizeable settings, BUT it finger prints easily. Very comfortable and easy to use.

The Nokia E61 is a great smartphone...
WIFI, Bluetooth, Infrared, lot's of expanding memory possibilities and a keyboard on board. Great big screen and reliable.
I have been using it for half a year now.

I've had a K800I for a few months now, and am very happy with it.

I believe the North American version is the K790.

I would advise against buying Motorola. although the user interface is not as dated as it once was, i still find their phones incredibly slow and clunky.
