Anyone else experienced the "wave"?

#1

Post by spydie fanatic »

I was eagerly awaiting the letter carrier today. I recently purchased a Delica 4 "wave". At first I thought there was no mail, but the letter carrier was running 45 minutes late. My spydie had finally arrived. Delivery time was only 3 days, but 3 days is an eternity while awaiting the delivery of a :spyder: spydie :spyder: .

At first I didn't understand the "wave" feature...even feared it...but to my surprise, I quickly and effortlessly deployed the knife on the first try!!!

With only a little practice, I can know effectively deploy the knife without thinking...just like a basic instinct.

I was just wondering how many other forumites have experienced the "wave", and what they thought of it.

I have a waved D4, swapped the blade with a foliage green one, sweet little knife, I want a waved, fully serrated ZPD D4 though. :D

For those wanting a Delica Wave, Savson Swords and Knives is having a blowout sale right now. $40 for that model. I picked one up a few weeks ago. Service was very good and the wave is great.

Dear Friends,

If you like the Waved Delica and Enduras, check this accessory out:

I am testing one of these for formal review - they are amazing!

Aloha nsp.trooper,

Add me to the "Wave Craze"! ;)

I had been thinking for a long time how to get one of these in the E3 handled version from zenheretic...however, I ended up buying a WE4 and giving my E4 to my brother in law to "justify my purchase to Mrs. Daywalker." :D

It's a lot of fun, and with practice, you can Wave it out of just about any carry location...just be careful.

My WE4 gets rotated with my Ed Schempp Persian, and Dialex Adventura usually. Lava and Biscuits are always on me. ;)

God bless and I agree...CE WAVE!!! :)

Whats a waved endura - self defence version? Are they the ones based on E3s?

The wave is great! I have a waved endura, and it's one of a very select few that I carry a lot (besides my cricket, which is almost always on me). The wave is amazing and so easy to use, and the endura feels really solid to me.

Waved endura 4 has become my most-carried knife. Wave works great and the endura 4 is just an awesome platform.

Yay for the waves!! I have the waved D4 and E4 and love them both. The D4 is always in my pocket and I use it to open boxes every single day at work! The most convenient knife, ever! And great for SD!!!

I understand how the knife would open usinf one of these. How does the knife open when it's clipped in front pocket tip-up (righty)?? I mean it would have to open a little awkwardly?

Its funny how the Post Office only plays with your head on the ones you want really bad. My mail most always comes early, like 9am or so everyday, except on the days when I am expecting a knife I simply cannot wait for in which case the delivery gets here sometime around 4pm. Go figure.

I love the Wave function. My pants and my wife hate it though. She bought me a new pair of pants not too long ago and when she presented them to me she informed me that the first time she saw me flipping open a knife off these pockets that I was going to be in some deep $hit! So, I guess I better behave with them for at least that pair huh?

One more wave fan here, the WD4 that is. :D
