Calypso jr lightweight... sweet!

Post by vampyrewolf »

Just this last week we(Cutting Edge) finally got it in. I spent about 1 hr just playing with it.

The handle is ideal for me, fitting perfectly. The blade shape makes it seem bigger than the 2.875" it is.

Sal and crew did one **** of a job designing this baby. You barely even notice it in your hand, seeming lighter than the delica(even though they are both 1.9oz). It's also probably THE smoothest opening spydie I have handled.

If you can, get one before they dissapear. I placed my order 2months ago here. it's worth the wait. It'll be in my possession by the 26th when I get paid again(if I don't go earlier and get the funds finished). $90 up here, $60 paid already... $30 to go.

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

I too just got my Calypso Jr FRN, and it is sweet indeed. It shall be my new utility blade. It will be a true work horse. This is also my first blade with the VG-10 steel, so we'll see how it works out. And its a pleasure for everyday carry, i cant stop smilling. If shopping for one, try ebay. This is of the finest design, kudos to spyderco!

It's so sharp you dont even feel the cut. =)
