sal!
Hi Poodle.
Thanx for the kind words about our forum.. Much effort is extended by more than a few to try to make this a comfortable safe place to spend time.
Regarding Bladeforums, I don't think that I have any clout to change their policies, and I probably wouldn't try to use it even if I did.
When I screw up (quite often) I usually eat some crow. Sometimes it gives me an opportunity to try again (under scrutiny).
It's all about trust, respect, fairness and civility, kinda like life.

Bladeforums is not under the control of Spyderco. They only have one forum over there, moderated by TazKristi, but if you were banned from Bladeforums, there is nothing Sal, Kristi or Spyderco can do for you.
You'd need to contact BF Administrators.
Apart from the Political forum though, the Mods on BF usually ban people for a legitimate reason...

 , I may be way out of line here... But I can't believe you asked Sal to do this poodle!! I guess I am starting to wonder WHY you were banned there. Rules are rules, there, here and in life.

I hate to involve myself in affairs I have nothing to do with... However, as an objective observer (with no idea who poodle is or why he was banned, etc..), his post seems in poor taste. I am also suprised Sal responded at all...
I kinda equate this to submitting a newspaper editorial directed at the Mayor of your city to ask him to "fix" your speeding tickets, simply because you like the city. One, the Mayor has nothing to do with speeding tickets. And two, if you like the city, work to make it a safe place and don't speed (so other people can enjoy it too)! Three, inappropriate venue for the request. Weird analogy, I know... but it was all I could think of spur of the moment.

If I'm thinking of the right person they were banned because they didn't take Bastid's warning seriously about insulting other members.ront wrote:  , I may be way out of line here... I like your analogy, however I'd tweek it a bit. The requester really wants the mayor of the city he just moved into, to fix the tickets of the city he was just kicked out of, just because this Mayor likes to visit the other city, and is well respected.Trihonda wrote:I hate to involve myself in affairs I have nothing to do with... I'm amazed that this is even continuing to receive airplay on ANY forum. Whatever happened at BFC stays at BFC and hopefully any of us in the know on either forum learn from it and will let this drop. The poster is not the first Spyder-bro to be banned from BFC and won't be the last. Sal was his usual polite self and answered honestly but firmly.
Doh!!! I posted a response to this thread, didn't I??!!! :o

Poodle, whenever you join a new forum I would suggest reading through the threads and getting a feel of the general etiquette ALOT before you post and embarrass yourself. Also correct use of spelling, punctuation and grammar will help create the illusion that you are old enough to be posting here.

now I think it's my turn to probably step WAY out of line, but can anyone believe that this person is doing this? I mean, I can't grasp the though of an adult acting like this, yet I can't seem to understand a teenager doing this either, at least I try to earn other people's respect, maybe I'm just a crazy teenager?
