The beginning of the world started on this day, the last Gunsmoke episode aired on this. Depending upon who you ask the world has already come and gone. :p

Should you carry "the Spyderco you have for the longest time" or "the oldest Spyderco model you have model-wise"...?

My very first real size Spydie is a C11PBK (aka ATS-55 PE Delica) but I guess my oldest would be a Snap-It. But since we are talking celebration here, I'd rather take my (very special) CF Delica, or the CF Millie (my Precioussss). Or I could simply stick to my old trusty Adventura. ;)

Let's see, I'd have to carry :

Aluminum Peter Herbst - my first :spyder:

"2 screw" Worker - my oldest :spyder:

...and...

...and...

...and...

...Dang! Those first two were easy, picking a favorite is tough. :o :D

Hope I'll be able to decide by Sept. 1st!

Spyderco, Old Timers Day?

Sounds like Uncle Henry bought out Spyderco :D .

Only older Spyderco I have is a Merlin in AUS-8 and FRN clip.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Dear Friends,

That day I will carry a stainless Harpy SE with G2 steel, a gift from a cherished knifebrother.

It's too bad that I always give away my old and unused Spydies to law enforcement. The oldest one I still own is a stainless Endura2. It's hardly an old timer, but it'll have to do.

Sounds neat Doc. Reckon I will pull out my old C05 - Economy/Standard with the pressed out clip, may toss in my Mouse and my original Worker to go along with it, and as for my favorite, reckon I will pack the large Dyad...

Hrm...

My first is a black LBK CE that gets carried often anyway, and I suppose it would also be my oldest. The next closest is probably my FRN cricket.
Heck, I might as well carry both.

EDIT: The 1st is a great day to carry these, It's my buddies b-day and I refuse to carry anything bigger than a cricket (if that) to the bars.

Good another excuse to carry my old friend. The Tuffram coated, Kraton inserted, Aluminum handled, Serated, Reverse-S curved, G2 steeled Monster that started me in to this whole mess :D
Now to keep it company maybee a slab-sided Marineer, or a 2-screw Worker, or both maybee.
