A canadian lockback Military!?!?!

#1

Post by psimonl »

Sorry, but just couldn't get over the excitment of this Sal's occasional bombshell...

From another forum...

Lockback Military?

--

Did Spyderco previously make a lockback Military, or is there a lockback that looks similar to a Military?

--

No. Endura is probably as close as u will get to a mil look alike.

We're working on a concept model which was requested by a Canadian Law enforcement professional.

A lockback on the Millie would be even better than a compression lock!

Sweet. The Military's biggest weakness is its lock.

Lockback Military

Post by Bodieism »

I remember just recently posting in a thread over on BF that my first choice for a new lock on the Military would be a lockback but that I didn't see any chance of that happening and then bam! Sal posts saying they are working on a concept model :D Sweet! :D

I would love to see a Military with a back lock as well.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

I like the Liner Lock just because of the unique sound and feel when opening/locking. BUT my Millie and Chinese Folder are the most 'blade-play' knives i have. they are fun to open, but the 'users' are all lock-backs
i know i'm not alone in this...

Sounds very cool, I like ambi knives.

However, would this refinement still stay true to the Military's biggest assets; lightweight and strong?
