Aloha ALL,

I am on stand by right now awaiting a call in the event there is a full on facility riot as well as a barage of drive by shootings...rewind...

An inmate tried to escape today while coming back from a court run. Now, we have one gung ho stupid @$$ CO who thinks he's all that and more. Always thinks he's right, always a warden select, always an idiot! Anyway, as the inmate is running in a very, VERY busy part of town, he takes a shot and hits the inmate in the head. Last I heard the inmate is now in critical condition. There were nine other inmates in the van who could have easily overtook the CO left alone in the van. Fast forward...

Now I am on alert status in the event there is a full scale riot. This inmates family is a large one and they may start picking CO's randomly after this...to get even..."an eye for an eye"...**** it. Because of this CO's sheer stupidity, we could have a hostage situation or worse with the "expected drive by shootings". Drive bys have happened before...

ALL for this CO's dumb @$$edness, he has placed the whole facility in jeapordy. Retaliation will happen in one form or another...stupid.

So please, I am getting my gear ready, just in case...hah, "gear"...also, I am prepping my home defense "stuff" in the forms of 357, 9mm, and 12 gauge. Like I said, this inmate's family is a huge one..lot of them always high on crystal meth...so they *may* do a random trip on any CO they see.

**** it.

Thanks everyone, and sorry for my tones here...but to go in for someone else's blatant stupidity, possibley getting severely injured, held hostage, or killed is something I do not want to do...

God bless and thanks for listening...gotta go.

Retribution huh? That's a scary thing to be playing with...

I'll be praying you're not involved in any vendettas...

Please be careful in there Chad, especially now.

Aloha ALL,

Suited up, got the scoops, called my LT and he said, "Thank you Chad, but no need..." However, this is not the end this incident. The inmate who is now confirmed dead, has a family which is active in the local syndicate here. Great. I talked with a lot of staff not too long ago, and they're all kinda worried and pissed about this whole thing. It was also heard at the hospital by the sheriff's that the family of the inmate stated, "We will get any CO." Cripes...

The CO who shot the inmate in the head is still at the main unit, being questioned. Sheriff's have given back up CO's bullet proof vests. I am still wondering why the **** our staff are outside the unit?

I called every unit to check on the vibes, and they all said this appears to be the quite before the **** storm. Weird...I recently wrote that I am never off duty...how fitting.

I cannot believe this CO... He just tore us a new one...

Anyway, this is far from over...so I appreciate your prayers. God bless and thanks all...I gotta make a few more calls just to be sure that 1st Watch is all good...

Thank you all.
