Hi BigDave! Welcome! Glad to have ya!

I believe Spyderco will sharpen your knives free of charge...with the exception of postage, but I have not sent any of mine in. Hopefully some one will chime in to let you know how they handled it and how it went. I just wanted to welcome ya!

Send them in a box with a 5 dollar check or money order. 5 dollars will cover 2 knives but no more. Expect a LONG wait. It took 2 months for my military to get repaired, but maybe if I just sent it in for sharpening it would have bee quicker. They did an excellent job, the blade looks new, minus all of the scratches I put on it from use.

I got my last sharpening done about a month ago...the sharpening wait at that time was approx. 3 weeks. Most of that time was probably waiting for the check to clear. $5 shipping as previously mentioned. Shipping address is listed on the back of the box if you still have a box (newest version box) or look on the home website.
Follow the mushin, but pay it no heed.

I am at the tail end of a very patient wait. just sharpening, 6 knives. they received them on 8 FEB, and i HOPING they get home tomorrow. I have spoken w/ Amanda a couple times, seems a portion of this time was waiting for a box to ship them back to me.

eh, no complaints, provided I see my kids soon. i sent $15($10 for return shipping for 6 knives, and $5 for a replacement clip for the RescueJr.), and Amanda said "no worries"

Welcome, BigDave, these are a good group of folks here....
