I believe it stands for Martial Blade Craft.

Manifest is correct...just a fancy term for knife based self defense. ;)

"Martial Blade Craft" is "owned" by Spyderco (the term that is)...

Michael Janich's current stuff is also called "MBC" but is now "Martial Blade Concepts."

Martial BladeCraft is correct. Spyderco's initial hope was that through the promotion of training and drones a responsible SD program would evolve. The initial goals was to introduce a complete package including knife, drone and training. The hope was that MBC would evolve into a 'regular' martial art and be accepted as much as olympic disciplines like judo or fencing.
