Easy one
With out a doubt it would be my big C-44P&S Dyad. With one plain edged blade and one fully serrated blade you essentially have the very best of both worlds. With the big Dyad you will not be deficient in the area of cutlery. I will say that I think a combo edged Military S30V would be a close second. But the BIG DYAD wins hands down. :spyder:
Long Live the SPYDEREDGE Spyderco Hawkbills RULE!!
Idealy the knife should be light enough to not be in the way, but thick enough to use and immune to the elements. One of the bigger Salts is a prime candidate. I'd probably take a Pacific or Atlantic Salt as my first choice. In a situation like that you would need the knife for all kinds of tasks and some of those may include batoning the blade into small logs to make kindling so a longer blade thick enough to absorb the shock but small enough to do other more delicate tasks would be preferred. Both the Salts have enough blade to do that and are sure immune to the elements so they are great all around survival knives IMO.

I live near the Mountains, so it would definately be the Manix. Made (IMHO) for just such a situation. Now, for an Island, the Pacific Salt. Like it was stated, "Easy to Sharpen and No Rust".

Well i would have to say it would either be A Manix or Para. Both are as strong as them come, and both have a blade shape that would be usefull to me. Also G-10 scales are a great addition to a knife when your hands are wet and slippery. CPMS30V because it is one of the super steels that will out cut any task.

I would say a CE Military or Lil'T. I might say a CE Manix, once I get it!

I would carry what many EMT's and firefighters carry where I live. It is the 93mm "Rescue" model. Tons and tons of cutting edge and yet portable enough for EDC.

Problem is that many folks think a knife has to be pointy and have never used a pug-nosed sheepsfoot style blade. I'd enter it in any Spyderco cutting contest with great confidence in winning. It is a serious cutter, IMHO.

Another vote for Pacific Salt
A few months ago I would have said Military or Para Military, but now I would grab my Pacific Salt first, especially if it was an island. 4" blade, never rusts, and the bright yellow handle could flag down rescue planes :D
