Spyderco in the movie Payback

#1

Post by J D Wijbenga »

I recently saw the movie Payback again and I was wondering about the knife Mel Gibson used to cut the bad guys fuel lines. Is it a Spyderco Rookie or is it the Worker model, or perhaps another one all together? What do you think? Great movie by the way. :-)

Payback is one my favorite movies, too.

I just checked the movie and it seems to be a serrated stainless delica.
It did not appear to have the false edge of the rookie or the fine tip of the worker.

Thanks Nico, I hadn't thought of that one.

Did you notice the police model in the movie fight club? There is also what looks like an endura used by Barry the Blade (try not to laugh at people who take names like that seriously) In the movie the client.

Hi Chambers, I do not remember seeing the Police in Fight club. Have to pay more attention next time! I do remember the Police staring in the movie High Art/Exposure. Great movie and great knife! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
