Are we sure that it is returning? Seems to me that it was mentioned fairly frequently on the cull list. It is such a radical design, that it could only be predicted that sales wouldn't be super high, I'd wager. (If you give me odds) I'd really like to hold one, and see how it feels. It looks to me that it will be all or nothing. Either the best grip around, or very uncomfortable. Then again . . .

They will be back (for a while anyway).

Changes were; Blade has been changed to VG-10, arc ramp has been added to the tang. There were also some minor adjustments in engineering.

As Stare mentioned, it is a "radical" design. There is much depth to the concept, but one much choose to "see" and enjoy all of what the knife has to offor. Many make quick decisions by eye and sometimes lose what is beneath the surface.

Amen, Sal. Too bad many people dismiss the utility of the Shabaria based on its looks alone. The knife has to be handled to appreciate the cutting efficiency of the design. It took awhile to get used to the unusual grip; however, through trial and error I found the hammer grip to be effective. The knife carries low when clipped in your pocket and gives the appearance that it is something other than a knife due to the squared-off end that is exposed.

Questions: The blade on my original is VG-10 were some made with another material? When is the upgrade expected out? Will the upgrades be serial numbered?
