where to get the calypso?

Post by karnigy »

I was wondering if spyderco will ever re-release the original micarta calypso (4in blade) again, or where I can find one. Ebay doesn't even have a micarta calypso jr. Thanks

A Micarta Calypso Jr. can be found at John F Jensen for about $ 50. As for the larger one I have no idea :(

Cheers, Rob

I myself would like to see the bigger Calypso (C-54) come back in production.
I would like to see it in S30V blade steel though. As far as where to get one I have no idea except EBay. I hope someone out there could tell me where to get another one now. :)

hmm - full size calypso SE Micarta handles - 1 only is sitting in a shop about 30 kms from me at the moment - if it is discontinued then it makes the top of my list of spydies to buy (along with the jotsinghkalsa, yojimbo, civilian and dodo)

i was in there yesterday and i had a look at it - i was kinda irritated because they didnt have a caly jr

but they do also have pro grip, delica, endura, police, rescue, rescue jr, centofante (not sure which one but they have a flat ground blade) there is also a starmate and a lum tanto in there, oh and a vesuvius too, plus a millie and a spur, and its where i got my navigator from, and im sure there is others that i have forgotten too. oh well my new years resolution may just be to get as many discontinued ones as i can - then ill try to catch up on the newer ones.
