Time For A Whine

#1

Post by pmel018 »

Hi Guys :spyder:
I have been trying to obtain apocket clip and screws for a C07 Police. I emailed the CS address and was evetually directed to contact the retail sales people , well two mails later and a few days , no answer. Am I using the wrong approach? Someone suggested I contact Sal, surely he has better thigs to do than to get me a clip and three screws?
I am at loss as to what to do next, this may seem a trivial thing but I stil want the clip and screws, Spyderco has a reputation for faultless CS but not in this case.
As I said a small matter but it annoying all the same.
Whine over now
Phil :(

PS does any forumite have the required clip and screws for an SS Police. Will send cash or paypal. Phil

I can guess, why calling isn't the prefered option. Look at the location.

I believe, the factory outlet has handled such things quite well in the past. Try to get in contact with them?!

Aloha!

I recently had the same problem. I was requesting a replacement clip for my Native, as I stripped mine for cleaning, then when I got home, one of my cats hopped up on the dresser, and I cannot find that clip and half the barrel screw ANYWHERE! LOL!

My wait has been a few weeks. So I just got a clip off one of my non-user Natives and put it on my user...

I would think that the CS dept. are like the Maytag man! LOL! :D

Calling Dr. Mike

Post by AllenETreat »

pmel018 -

You have to contact Mike Haye's in warranty & repair -

1-( 800 ) - 525 - 7770 then wait to be offered a "list
of company employees" then after you get to that enter M-I-K-E
(6453) on your telephone keypad. Mike Hayes is the man
in warranty & repair. Tell'im I sent you & you need those clips &
screws. File this contact info for future reference. :D

Apparently some here forgot about "Dr. Mike".

Email Customer Service: customerservice@spyderco.com
Fax: 303-278-2229

pmel018- My apologies you have not heard from either Cody or Christina at SFO. I spoke with Cody and forwarded this thread to him for resolution. Please let me know if you do not receive a prompt answer okay? jlaituri@spyderco.com

Allen- I'm sad to say that Mike Hayes left Spyderco last spring. Our warranty and repair department is now under the guidance of Amanda Hinnen. She's a peach guys and wonderful to work with. Don't hesitate contacting her. She's knows knives like no other woman I've met before and has an incredible understanding of custom knifemaking too. :)

Hi Guys
Well WHINE OVER, :) have made contact and been given correct contact details. Can't find the SFO address anywhere on the site though.
Anyway Spyderco's reputation is restored.
Thanks for help and ideas.
