Lets say a pray for CKE

#1

Post by ricknhman43 »

I was speaking to ThomB. in work this morning. He mentioned Craig (CKE) was going into surgery today. I will say a prayer for him. He was one of the first forum members to welcome me to this site. Lets all says a prayer for him to do well, and get better soon. He's a good guy.

CKE & Surgery

#3

Post by CKE »

Hello everyone. I am CKE's wife. I thought that you would all like an update on how he is doing. But before I do, I want to thank all of you for being so supportive. He is blown away (an so am I) by the support that he has recieved from his friends who have never even met him. I must say, this has changed my opinion of him talking on the computer a lot about his knives. You are all so amazing.

He came out of surgery at 6 tonight so it was only 9 hours instead of 12! I saw him at about 8:30. He was awake and was able to squeeze my hand and open his eyes a bit. He is very cut up and has tubes everywhere. But he is stable and doing well. The doctors were able to remove all of the cancer, although there was more than expected. Radiation is very likely. But, he will get through it, he is the strongest person I know.

I also thought I would let you in on the good news. 3 days ago, we found out that I am expecting our first child. So.. he has even more of a reason to get better fast.

Please continue your thoughts and prayers. If I can figure out how to get back here again, I will pass along any mesages that you send his way. Words cannot express my thanks for your kindness and support.

Jacqui :)

Jacqui, thanks so much for posting. Glad to hear that Craig is doing well and that the surgery went more quickly than expected, the less time under the knife the better. Congrats to both of you on the wonderful news. Prayers and good wishes will most certainly continue.

Good News

Jacqui

It is great to hear that the operation was a success; the fact that they were able to get all of the infected tissue out is good news in itself. As you say, being strong at this time is very important, for both of you! Modern medicine is tremendous but a positive attitude is as important and I’m sure following your good news that Craig’s resolve will be reinforced!

Good luck to all three of you!

Regards Ken

Jaqui , this is a good news, as a father myself (and had light melanoma in past) i can assure that the arrive of a child is like an injection of strenght.

Craig,

All best luck. I'm not much at prayers but I extend my prayers to you. I understand the fear and trepidatian that goes with a diagnosis of cancer. Been there. I know from your posts that you will beat the crap. Kick @$$ bro.
