dodo
Aloha!
Yeah, the Dodo is cool and I have to get one soon myself.
I have trained with Aluminum and FRN Crickets in the past, and the blade shape is effective in SD even though it is small. How much MORE effective with a longer handle?!
That's why I gotta get a Dodo...and soon I hope!
God bless!
God will put you over...if you let Him! John 14: 13,14...try it, it WORKS!

I agree; for it's diminutive size, the Dodo would perform completely out of proportion in the self-defense role.
It wouldn't be my first choice as a SD piece, but I certainly wouldn't feel unarmed if it was all I had, either.
And it's one heck of a utility knife! That handle makes all the difference in the world, it's one of the best-designed knife handles that I've ever...well, handled.

Hey y'all (that's the Kentuckian version of Aloha),
I also have been intrigued by the shape of the extinct -bird. I'd guess it cuts like a beast, especially for its size, but question its efficacy in a SD role. Because of the blade shape, one would be limited to slashes; thrusts seem not to be a function of the design.
Edited to fit the format of your screen.
