Millitary/Paramilitary carry options??

#1

Post by Pyrochazm »

I would own a paramilitary right now if it weren't for the fact that you can only have it in tip down carry. I was at a knifeshop (Again) and the paramilitary I handled would be a perfect EDC if it weren't for the placement of the pocket clip. Would it be possible to undo the clip and drill new holes for a diffrent mounting position? If it's possible I'll probably buy one tomorrow.

I was thinking the same thing. I want a military but I want it tip up. My plan was to get another straight black pocket clip and put it on the other end. Shouldn't be too hard

A replacement clip for a Starmate should work fine.

My question is if you can take the clip that's already on there off, and drill new holes and put it on the other end.

You can swap the clip to the other end after drilling some holes but with the curved clip, it might look funky.

Ron has swtched the clip and smoothed out the action on my Military so that it is without a doubt one of the finest knives I've carried. His work is fantastic, and if you contact him and discuss your needs, I'm sure you'll be as satisfied as all his many other customers are.

I'll second that opinion of Ron's work!

Pyrochazm,

My demented dream is for the Paramilitary to have a 4 position wire clip modeled after the clip on the MeerKat. That'd allow for some nice discreet carry.
