I recently bought a C24 Black Hawk.On the right side of the blade it is stamped" Golden, Colorado. USA Earth." I am puzzled-- anyone know why this knife is stamped that way? Is there some reason for using this term?

Does it really matter that it says Earth?

Obi-Wan,
it dosn't really matter. Wondering minds just would like to know what other planet's, or species, that we dealing with :-)]

The 'EARTH' thing started as a joke. It was put on the Native to see if anyone would notice. It was also a way of talking the "country of origin thing" one step further.
Strangely enough, not many people notice. It does however serve a couple purposes... If you're lost in space it'll remind you where you're from....Millions of years from now archeologists will dig up a lost Native and wonder "where the **** is earth?" LOL

I love that Earth thing on my Native. It lets you know that the knife is Native to the planet Earth and not the Mars version. :)

I agree with ET. Knives made in Mars are sloppy, just like the ones on Tatooine.

- Dude, as your fellow earthling, I don't think that's a nice thing to say... :(

Humour is fine... I can use a few jokes and laugh the loudest dude, but I think its tasteless thing to poke fun at the Taiwanese... Especially when one says Uranus is near Taiwan. They make fine knives too! Take a good look at some of the CRKT stuff and you'll know what I mean...
