OT: Off work...car accident yesterday!

#1

Post by CKE »

Well yesterday on my way back from the chiropracter somebody decided to turn left in front of me and BAM!!! So I sit here in pain trying to stay comfortable and not go bored out of my mind. Totalled his car, and smacked up the front end of my Jeep. The shop that I brought my Jeep to thinks it will be a write off. This guys car is totalled on the pasenger side where I ran into him and then he spun out of control into a sign and smashed the back drivers side of the car aswell. One thing I can say is Jeeps are tough, too bad it is an old one and propabaly not worth fixing. Back went out again so I am off work for a few days and it is only the morning of the first day and I am already bored. Stiff/sore too man I took a beating. No bruises or cuts just SORE! Ah well hope you are all doing better than I am. Remember never be in that much of a rush you need to make a bad decision, it is not worth it in the long run. Take Care!!!

CKE,
Hope you feel better soon. Sounds like your jeep did help you more than the other guy.

Craig: methinks you get to do the same thing I did when I broke 5 ribs in one shot(fell done some stone steps in may 01... 3 left, 2 right))... try to find a half comfy position and take up residence on the couch(hurt to sit or stand). I managed to do it for a week until I was going too crazy. Got on the bike and caused more pain, but at least I can semi breathe.

Glad you're OK(all things considered), have a quick recovery.

Sorry to hear about the accident but you know this is an ideal arguement for a bigger vehicle, Humvee??? No great shakes on gas milage but it will get you some real respect and nobody will be able to say "I didn't see you".

Take care.

Actually quite surprised at how well the ol Jeep stood up. All front end damage(fenders, spring, shackle etc.) Steering is off. Hopefully can get rental coverage while it is getting fixed. Take Care!!!
