5GS Does anyone know about it

Does anyone know the model name and time frame for model #5GS? There are 2 on e-bay with G-10 handels. It looks to be about the size of a Delica.

Just received a PE one yesterday that I bought from a fellow over on BladeForums, It's a very nice knife. As you said, it's about the size of a Delica, but with a more Calypso Jr shaped handle. Has a single liner on the clip side. Hollow ground ATS-55 blade like the all stainless Delicas. Blade is about 1/8" shorter but 1/32" thicker that the Delica, with a slightly smaller hole. Unlike the Delica, where the blade is one continuous curve from kick to tip, the Standard blade is straight for almost half its length before sweeping upward to the tip. Sort of like a shorter version of the Police blade, minus the swedge grind. My '00 and '03 catalogs list the G-10 version as introduced in '97, but it is not so listed in my '98 one. Neither does it appear as a current model in either the '98 or '00 catalog, leading me to guess that it was probably produced no longer than from late '97 to sometime in '99.

Stevie Ray, You must be talking about Sulphur High School. They usually come close to going to state. So I'd say the answer is Yes.

Well I said there were 2 on E-bay, now there is only one. I just bought the other one. I think that will make 31. I can hardly wait. I just love G-10.
Thanks for the description Deacon.

Spydercat,

Yep .... I lived in Lake Charles for a couple of years and Sulphur for a couple. If you live in Sulphur, then the Tors are what you do during the fall. The stadium fills up on football nights. I remember being there rain or shine and the place was packed.. The whole town gets into it. When I was there (70's), the coach's name was Suarez (I'm sure I mispelled that).
Go Tors ..........
