I once posted at BF that I thought it was out of folder range but some disagreed with me and claimed to have need for a folder that size. I still believe that I would rather prefer fixed if I wanted a knife that size but I wouldn't mind seeing it going in production anyway.

its linke somthing you would need a sheeth for it on your calf and have to pull it out because its so big.

Ive got to imaging when somthing is that big or bigger, there would have to be a weakness in the pivot area of the knife.

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents worth in on this thread..

Spyderco has no "Identity Crisis" from my viewpoint.
If anything they are continually having an "Identity Enhancement".

It thrills me that I see a constant flow of fresh ideas, as well as improvements to existing models on a consistent basis from them.

From a pure Patron's standpoint, my impression is they only want to provide the best quality knive for their Consumer. They see no boundary lines of style or use that would inhibit them from going in whatever direction they feel is needed to provide what their Customers want.

They also are thrilled to let the "Cliff Stamps" of the world put them to the test, and encourage the feedback - good or bad, as long as it is presented in a way which will help them improve their product.

These, are the reasons I buy their knives, and why I recomend them to others.

The only "Crisis" involved is for those who would endeavor to keep this Manufacturer in a certain esthetic style of production.

...Would be a vain attempt indeed.
