Gandalfe, unfortunately B.C. is changing, and for the worse. Burglaries, home invasions, kidnappings, gang war shoot-outs, men disappearing, "known to police" bodies turning up every month. Everyone I know in Vancouver has had their car broken into repeatedly, my friend has had his cabin broken into repeatedly, my cousin was jumped from behind and savagely beaten by a group of thugs, right in front of his girlfriend, for no reason. He was down and out immediately, but that didn't stop them from taking the boots to his face, breaking his jaw, and kicking out most of his teeth. Three months ago, my parents woke up to find a burglar in their living room. My dad grabbed a golf club and chased him out the backdoor. My friend's apartment was broken into last week. And it's not just Vancouver....Red Scorpions in Victoria, Hells Angels in Kelowna, gangs fighting over drug turf in PG, the 'Highway of Tears', the list goes on. The Port of Vancouver is one of the biggest heroin shipment points in the world, and B.C. has the follow-on crime that goes along with that. In B.C. we always like to say things aren't as bad as other places, but what are those places? Per capita, B.C. crime is quite high now.
Sorry for my rant everyone. :o Gandalfe, be safe! :)
