was told that they were "out of stock with no known ETA" (or something very close to that). of the three i ordered, the ATR was refunded, and the other two were shipped UPS.

and yeah, it does look like the manix received already looks used a little bit, or at least dirty. how does it look? new? thanks. :)

I got my, (can I say Emerson Commander on this site?) today and have a Manix and A.T.R. Ti on the way, if I receive them I will compare with my other Manix that I had ordered from another dealer 3 days earlier for 4 times the price and see if it's the real deal, then kick myself for not buying all the others if they are authentic. Anyway, hi, from a first time poster!

The clip looks pretty beat up and missing paint for a brand new knife!
Did you get it in that condition Blunt?

Well I managed to cut myself again. Guess we can say the knife has been properly christened. Felly it must be the lighting. The clip looks perfect to me. The blade had some smudge marks on it from me handling it and bleeding all over it. I honestly don't see anything wrong with the knife.

The only thing I wondered about was how the knife came packaged, but, I'm pretty new to Spyderco purchases. It came in the box resting on a piece of foam that lined the bottom. It did not have a plastic sleeve or any paperwork. Not sure if thats normal or not.

I think the packaging is normal, or at least from my experience. Glad that you at least got something out of it!

It is my experience that there is no rhyme nor reason to how Spyderco packages their knives. Sometimes they come in a plastic sleeve w/papers or w/sleeve and no papers. Other times papers and no sleeve and here of late, just the knife in the box. So I don't even give it a second thought anymore, they come as they come, and what really matters is the knife itself. ;)
Enjoy that Manix but don't let it put you in the hospital!

**May I suggest you buy your knives from NGK from now on? They come with Bandaids! :D :D

I was thinking the exact same thing.

i got a black ATR, SE today. i'm 99% certain that it's legitimate. still had the factory oil on it, and it's identical to my SS ATR. also came in a spyderco box and plastic sleeve, as did the other ATR. and the knife that wasn't in stock has been refunded to me.

i think i will be buying more knives soon!

i looked today and their stock of spydies went down from 70 or so to 10 different models and all were normal or above prices.

Arrived!

I ordered 3 Black Bladed Para's on 1/11 for about $25 a piece and all three arrived today. As far as I can tell, they're good to go. However, I just looked to see what they have now, and can't find any Spydercos listed at any price.

Hmm, interesting. My order for two Dodos was cancelled/refunded yesterday. Looks like it's pick and choose as to who gets what they order.

I ordered two black blade SE Para-Militaries from them last week for about $20 each and they both arrived today. They are perfect, genuine Spyderco knives.

I couldn't believe the prices myself...it seemed too good to be true. But it was indeed the real deal. :D :spyder:
