David, I've heard that a farmer's market just opened near my house that has fresh honey. I'm stoked. I missed today's because I went to my students' high school graduation, but there's always next week.

Peanut butter and honey on toasted bread, a nice cold glass of organic milk, a crunchy apple, some carrots...

Now there's a lunch you can depend on.

Good to see you, Chad!
Aloha FLYcrash,

Good to see ya too!

Hey, speaking of crunchy apples, slam some PB on one of those...kinda hard to get the PB to stick, but man alive...talk about "ono-licious"!!! WooHooo!!!

God bless and have a good one! ;)

Aloha motorep,

(Hopefully "GP" is what ya rep! ;) ) AND he is the man who thankfully is credited with inventing the Frame Lock...thank God. Now what does his Frame Lock invention have to do with this thread? Well...just as much as a hot butterscotch sundae on rye bread...or my uncle's beard that is rich. It fell "hair" to a fortune...or as much as the elephant I shot in my pajamas this morning. How it got in my pajamas I dunno. But uh...that's totally "irrelephant" to what were talking about. What we're talking about is money. Dollars...taxes...say did you know I got a relative who lives there? Yeah, he lives in "Dollars, Taxes".

(And that is why I am home today...I needed a break from ****...and it shows.) :D

God bless and again, hope it is MotoGP buddy!!!

My Dear Friends,

I have thought or two concerning this thread and the initial poster.

Given skateORdie's low post count, it is readily apparent that we are most likely dealing with a silly adolescent trolling for their own amusement. No one over the age of twelve, even those with an axe to grind, would generally conduct themselves in such a completely ridiculous and childish manner on a public forum.

Sal and Company are always listening to their ELU's; it is one of the very things that differentiate them from so many other knife companies. If you have concerns or constructive criticism to dispense I am quite certain Sal would be more than happy to address your worries.

I should also point out that more so than most other online forums, at the Spyderco Forum politeness matters. ;) Respect for others, as well as self-respect, are of paramount importance in maintaining the tone here.

I admit that I myself am not a huge fan of products made in China. At the same time, any reasonable person realizes that it is practically impossible, both realistically and fiscally, to purchase only products manufactured in the United States.

I buy American when and if I can, and fill in with what I cannot find or otherwise afford from wherever products are available.
skateORdie wrote:I dare you to send this to Sal. I know you won't do it.
There is no doubt in my mind that this thread will come to Sal's attention if it has not already; I hope he disregards it as the foolish tirade of a bored child as I already have.

It is apparent that school is out, my friends. Brace yourselves for the onslaught. :D

So we should either buy the $400 knives, or not buy any at all?
If you can't afford one you will have to construct one from local materials only. Local wood for the handle, local stone for the blade. Get with it! ;)

This is odd sir, I just looked at the packaging of several Delicas, Enduras, Kopas, and a Mariner Salt , all of recent manufacture. I cannot find one single reference to China on any of them.

Oh man...I knew THAT was coming. :D FACT: Did you know they call these "Danielisms" in Australia? :p

Well, I'd love to "stick around", but I gotta get some errands done. Glad ya liked my FRN suggestions amen74, think "nuttin'" of it. Would be an expensive project though, wonder if Sal will "shell" out the moola? If an FRN Persian were to be made, I better not let my Persian see it...it might get "jellyous".

Oh man... :p

God bless and take care buddy.

Why do you not support America and print your packages here? Do you enjoy supporting child labor, environmental destruction and allowing your fellow Americans to lose jobs?

Are you not an American company? Why not keep some jobs here in the US? I see that you are now having knives made in China as well. Thumbs down. Lack of quality and a lack of interest in support for your country.

I wish Sal would read this email. I'd like to let him know how un-American his company has become. And that I will no longer purchase his knives. But I doubt very much that he will ever see this email or care at all. It's all about lining his pockets and taking jobs away from Americans. Shame on you Spyderco and Sal. Farming out work to China? Congrats on helping to slowly erode our country.

Japanese steel is one thing, as it is superior. But you should know how pi$$-poor chinese products are and that they are not a country that USA should support. They are taking away our jobs and our ability to make money here (unless you're Sal and you line your pockets with the money!) They are poisoning our children with lead paint and other poisons on toys! I think it's disgusting that you find supporting these "environmental and child poisoners".

I dare you to send this to Sal. I know you won't do it.

Thanks for your time and your support of the chinese empire of terror!

Mhmmm, beehives. I did some hunting on land that had beehives last fall. Good place. Come to think of it, I may have even had a PB & J sandwich that day.

On a side note: It is good to see you again Mr. Lecter. You may not know me as I was still quite new here before you "left", but I think you are a great contributor to this forum and it is good to have you back.
