I also agree with the s30v native as the deal of choice, that knife is GREAT (I am one of the native ergo lovers), the price is great, and as long as you have a wally world near by, if you lose it, or decide to pass it on to a knife person in training, a quick run to the local store will replace it. I'm actually due to replace mine soon, as I gave mine to my bro in law for a bday present, and he promptly lost it :(

I'm down with the Yang and the C41 Native. But my vote among the Spydercos I have so far is the SS ATR SE. That thing is a monster. It's got heft, a ball-bearing smooth action, locks up like a bear trap, and slices through Wolverine's claws. (OK, I haven't tried that yet.) And I just got mine NIB at the close-out price of $75. Later,

I would say the Centfante 3 or 4. Also the DP D'allera is a lot of knife for the money. The Byrds are pretty good as well and they are dirt cheap. The G-10 Cara Cara is probably the best $20 knife you will ever buy.

I hated the Native ergonomics. In my hand, there was only one way to comfortably hold it, and that was the big stabby way.

I agree with you and add Yang to my Native nomination. Quality of this knife is excellent.
I bought my Yang in January and it instantly became my favorite kitchen knife and then I was watching how Yang pushed out all our Henckels from my wife's selection also.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

My vote is also for the Yin, but I'll add the Yang. They're the only two knives I need in the kitchen now.

I've gotta say the Waved Rescue, because it's everything I need packed into $50, and it's JUST the right size. Enduras are too big, and Delicas are too small, but Rescues hit the spot.

Hard to beat a Native.
It's better to have knife and not need it than to need a knife and not have it.
