Up-Date on Frank Miller in the movies:

Today in Montreal starts the shooting of the next F.Miller movie adaptation based on his graphic novel "300" (That I haven't read :( ). It is based on a great war during in the antic greek society, 480 B.C.

Just like Sin City, it will have a very dark and visual appeal, as most of the scenes will be shoot with a blue screen ...

Directed by Zach Snyder (2004 Dawn of the dead :D , and soon to be release Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six  )

I Can't wait...

300 is a graphic novel that I've never sat down and read, looked good though.
Frank Miller has a very grainy, dark sort of style that leads itself very well to crime or super hero stories. I will DEFINITELY second the comments concerning Boondock Saints! Willem Dafoe is one of my all time favorites!

Hi Chad, glad to see I'm not whole alone here ;)
You know, they even made a short movie featuring only Scrat (that crazy squirrel from Ice Age) - "Scrat gonne nutty". :)
They say Ice Age 2 is supposed to come in 2006... can't wait :)

Collateral is probably one of the movies I most enjoyed recently. Want to see Kung Fu Hussle. If you are into climbing, Touching The Void was pretty good.

Yes, touching the void was pretty good ...

"...Brown girl in the ring... Shalala... Brown girl in the ring Shaaaalalalalala..."

In the same outdoor horror but fictional type, I saw 2 weeks ago The descent. Pretty scary and well made horror movie.

And last night, I saw a movie that could qualify as the first feel good movie for man of all time : "The world's fastest Indian". With Sir A. Hopkins in one of his best role. Go on http://www.IMDB.com and see the preview. You will rent it this week end for sure.

The movie I've seen in a while was Equilibrium. Had some of the coolest(if wildly unrealistic) gunfights in any movie ever.

Nice Dig from the Past, Simon!

My 2 movies of late which are just too good to pass up:

Shawn of the Dead- a great UK movie, hilarious... ("You've got red on you...")

Wedding Crashers- Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are so darn funny together- ("Lock it up!"... "No, YOU lock it up!")

Those are must views, if you haven't seen them yet/ lately!

The best movies I saw lately were "Marche de l'empereur, La" and Crash.
I saw both of them several month, may be a year ago and still thinking about them. I would strongly recomend both. Winthin last couple month was nothing special....
