Blue Dodo
Black Dodo
Caly Jr (SE VG-10 to compliment the ZDP-189 already in my pocket)

The Urban will probably be a good substitute for the SE Caly Jr but nothing in the current line-up comes close to the Dodo. As long as we are dreaming, flat ground recurve, hawksbill and wharncliff versions would nicer still.

The SCKX04 - HomeMaker. I'd get at least 2 if I found any..

I'm still hoping Sal will make a rerun of this knife. The Santoku is great, but the Homemaker is my grail :spyder:

The Deacon wrote:Have all the discontinued model I really want. Would love to see the C83 Persian and the all stainless Kiwi returned to the catalog. But, I neither need, nor could I afford, to buy enough of them to make it worth Spyderco's while. So I accept the fact that they, like all the other discontinued models, were poor sellers.
Are you sure about the full size Persian? Since it's so hard to find one nowadays, I'd say this one sold pretty well.

Oh, and since we are here, yes, I'd love to see the full size Persian back in the offer. Maybe with some minor adjustments, like full flat grind and G-10 or CF scales... ;)

hi dialex,
I remember when I joined this forum in 2005 that all the major internet knife purveyors had ample supplies of the C83, then after it was discontinued, I remember that "honeymoon period" when John F Jensen's website had many Persians as well.... then the popularity of C83 skyrocketed (i think helped out by this forum ;) ) and now it's a "collector's item"... interesting evolution of the popularity of a clipit.... :)

I'd love to see a "shorter" RL01 - Laguiole with a plainedge of 3 to 3.5 inches blade maybe Olivewood or Rosewood... :)

Wood. Cocobolo or desert Ironwood would be amazing.
What about sprint run of FFG C83? :p and NBD for Paul :D

I'd like to see a new clip point knife, like the blackhawk, but with better ergonomics. Most of the other knives have been phased out for good reason, and if any were to be brought back I think they would at least need to be redesigned and put out as version 2.

Some of the more artistic knives (like the Shabaria or Lum Chinese) should only be left to sprint runs, if remade at all. Part of the beauty in the knife is that it is not common.

A White linen Micarta C83 full sized Persian would be a great counterpoint for the superseded C83 Black Micarta. With the obvious addition of the latest trendy super-steel of course (I wouldn't mind original, but some here love ZDP). Bolsters front and back would be nice. But just doing a white linen sprint run would be absolutely pornorifically appreciated by at least a dozen forumites here, and possibly a fair whack more elsewhere too :p

Oh yeah, FFG as an option.

Actually a Micro Persian (of Kopa/ Kiwi size would also go own quite nicely too). hilst the mini Persian is easier to digest than the large Persian for EDC purposes. I feel a Micro Persian would be very very well received by persons of slightly more gentlemanly (gentlewomanly as well if we are being politically correct) persuasion.

Cheers
