Jeb's pix and mods
Re: Jeb's pix and mods
Got a NIB Spyderco Mule - M398. Also got the Spyderco - Black G10 scales and their Boltaron Sheath to keep this beast from chewing on things.
First M398 steel I have and must say it's really hard. I honed a 15 dps bevel on this beast, it took me quite some time to get the factory bevels even on both sides.
I am very excited to see how well this knife keeps an edge. Anything like how hard it was to hone, this will become a favorite.

Here is my Manix2XL with the new Mule in M398 dressed out in Spyderco G10 scales. I got to get my belt clip issue figured out so that the Boltaron Sheath will slip on my 1.75" heavy belt.
Then I am pretty sure both my Mules will be getting fitted for Lanyards. I grew up with them on all my knives and I just don't see these two Mules escaping that...

Yojumbo in jade scales and M4 steel, with the Tomahawk by Spyderco, just got to love this beast...

Manix Monday is a Manix 2XL in jade G10 and M4 steel. Great knife just wish it was DLC blade, with it being M4.
The blade finished grind is really quite different from all my other steels here too, it's quite a coarse grind. Really unique in itself.

Mule M398 used it and my Manix 2XL today hacking at these thorny roses that bite back. These two knives together made for quick results and for the most part, keeping the bushes off me lol

One more test.

Re: Jeb's pix and mods
Got a deep carry pocket clip and cut and honed the end back smooth. Going to stack this clip with the original clip on my Yojumbo to make a better way to attach my lanyard.
I got to get some 6mm long clip screws but other than those, I got this ready. I made a mock up by hold the two clips stacked and this is going to be awesome.
First pic is of the deep carry clip cut and modified to stack.

Got my AWT scale in for my Manix 2 Salt in MagnaCut. These scale I got in burnt bronze, really like this color on all sorts of things.
These scale are no exception either, they look great. Fit perfect on the light weight Manix 2. With these being out of aluminum you get the leave some of the small parts off the knife also...

Re: Jeb's pix and mods
Got my Manix 2XL with jade scales and M4 steel in today also. After installing the burnt bronze AWT scales on my little Manix 2 I am left speechless lol.
Love the bigger Manix 2XL, but those burnt bronze scales are the bomb to me. I have always liked the pistols and rifles in burnt bronze, have been thinking about doing a knife in it for some time now.
So guess now I am going to want a full sized knife in it now I guess lol. Heck I even really like these jade scales a lot. They just don't catch my eye like the burnt bronze though. Here is a quick pic of these two knives.
Heck the way this little Manix 2 turned out I am not only going to get scales for one of my Manix 2XL, I am going to have to buy this burnt bronze 1911 pistol I have been wanting. That will lead me to wanting another AR10 in the same burnt bronze also. This is not good...

Re: Jeb's pix and mods
Modified one of the clips off the Boltaron Sheath this morning eary. Couldn't sleep so why not right. I was able to heat the top roll of the clip and then roll it down about half a bolt hole.
You can see in this pic that it's as far as I can roll it and still get the T-10 driver in the screw head. It was a lot harder to roll this heated up than I ever expected also.
Going to order an extra clip or two, so I can take this one and destructive test it to make sure it's not bridle and shouldn't be used if the case.
I have already yanked on it pretty hard and so far so good. Here is a looksee.
