My order did originally have a shipping charge. It wasn't until I used the code that it went to $0. Maybe you automatically get free shipping if you order enough (i.e. a $$$ threshold). My order was just for the Ernie PM2.

Did you guys see the price went up a touch? Maybe thats to offset the fre shipping code floating around.
I wasn't too worried about the few bucks; especially since CS probably isn't making much on these and shipping is not getting any cheaper.

I was considering the Paramilitary anyway, I love orange handles, and I stumbled upon this limited run two days ago : if this isn't karma, I don't know what it is.

Now it's going to be a looong wait until Spring...

Yes, I just saw that the price went up (now $126.75 instead of $117). And they've already sold half of the 800 piece run.

I dont think it has to do with the Shipping Code.

Yesterday the description said:
LIMITED TIME SPECIAL PRE-ORDER PRICING
I am glad I jumped on them yesterday, but even with the slightly higher price (Today) + shipping they are still a great deal. CS is one of the best dealers

An email went out explaining the pricing structure. He had intended to raise the price specific amounts once a certain number is sold. There will be more price increases as sales increase too. So, buy early if you want one.

Here's what was communicated in an e-mail from CS about an hour ago:
Greetings!
Just a heads-up -- the Orange Para 2 CTS-XHP production run is halfway sold out!
It was at the halfway point that I was planning on pulling the 40% off pre-order special, which I've done.
I just did not realize that it would happen in under 24 hours!
I thank you for support of this product -- and for spreading the word.
I started them out at 40% off, now they're at 35% off.
When the next hundred sell, they'll go to 30% off, and keep going up, until they're sold out.
I've set it up this way to reward you, my most loyal customers who order early, as a way for you to get a killer price on what will be a great knife.

No worries for you on the price increases, as they come, as you're locked it at your price.

On a related note: I'll be meeting with Spyderco at the upcoming SHOT show. One major item on the agenda is for more exclusives.
If you had an idea for an item/steel/color combination, please let me know.

I noticed the little rise in price from yesterday, but I still put my order in today. :D And the free shipping is a great perk too....

Thanks for the clarification guys. I put in my order on original price. Even todays price is great. At this price, almost makes me want to order another, but I must resist. I am sure the 1 will last many years and I am not into the reselling game to make a profit.

It will definitely be a long wait till spring

I knew that this knife is hot, but didn't think that it is that hot. Still $126 is not bad. IIRC even brown para is more expensive. Jeff really treat us good.
I really love this part of e-mail

Jeff's last orange dealer LE sold out quickly, too...though this one is amazing. Orange + XHP is a hot ticket.

It appears that the regular para's went up in price,as well. They're now running $98 instead of the $95 they'd previously been ( still a better deal than any other place that I've seen, even Amazon).
But, as best I can tell, no others have increased in price at CS. But, speaking of Amazon, some Spydies have been drastically jacked in price over there all of a sudden.
The Dragonfly is up to $50 and change, and the Manix I just got for $68, just jacked up to $76 ( IIRC), by far the highest I've seen it there.
Not sure what's going on over there. All this Amazon talk aside, I'd still prefer to give my buisness to CutleryShoppe, who,in a very brief span, has impressed me more than any other knife operation out there.

Same here. PM2 + orange handle + CTS-XHP + very reasonable price : it certainly looked like a winning combination right from the start, but selling half of the run in less than a day is quite impressive. And clearly unexpected, even by CS : congratulations to them for a well deserved success... and thanks again to -F1 for the heads up.
